Import/Export Specialist II

About the role

The Import/Export Specialist II will manage the flow of goods to and from foreign destinations, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting the broader supply‑chain function. You will work with moderate to complex challenges while providing guidance to team members and maintaining strong business relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage traffic flow to/from foreign destinations and coordinate deliveries within the supply‑chain system.
• Calculate tariffs, price conversions, weight, and volume for imported and exported merchandise.
• Evaluate and track invoices and shipping documents to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
• Analyze delivery processes and recommend procedural improvements.
• Maintain internal controls to guarantee compliance with import/export regulations.
• Communicate with internal and external partners to develop and sustain business relationships.
• Ensure all delivery standards are met and handle moderate to complex problems.
• Support the customs compliance department and other functions with reports and analysis.
• Monitor and control import/export system processes and documentation.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Higher‑level knowledge and experience in import/export operations.
• Ability to solve moderate to complex problems with minimal guidance.
• Understanding of key business drivers within the supply‑chain function.
• Capability to explain moderately complex information clearly.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and industry‑related transportation laws.
• Commitment to safety, environmental, security, and quality standards, including FDA regulations.
