About the role

Medtronic is seeking a Calibration and Metrology Technician to ensure that electronic test and measuring equipment meets strict standards. The role involves hands‑on work in a laboratory environment, supporting production and quality processes for medical technology.

Key responsibilities

• Calibrate electronic test and signal‑generating equipment to established standards.
• Test, adjust, and maintain electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydraulic and pressure‑type measuring instruments.
• Set up calibration sequences, methods and procedures based on specifications, blueprints and drawings.
• Disassemble, clean, repair and replace defective parts of test equipment such as pressure gauges and tension meters.
• Monitor and verify quality using statistical process control or other control procedures.
• Provide technical support for production, operations, maintenance and testing activities.
• Interpret schematics, diagrams and technical documentation to troubleshoot equipment.
• Gather, format and analyze technical data, performing detailed mathematical calculations.
• Suggest improvements to optimise work processes and may lead lower‑level team members.

Required profile

• Technical background in calibration, metrology or a related engineering discipline.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical skills for data collection, calculation and quality verification.
• Experience working with a variety of measuring instruments and test equipment.
• Capability to work independently and, when required, supervise junior staff.
