Senior Project Engineer – Manufacturing

About the role

The Senior Project Engineer provides technical and sustaining engineering support within Medtronic’s manufacturing environment, driving equipment and process improvements to meet quality standards and increase production efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Provides technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area.
• Recommends and implements equipment and process modifications to improve quality, efficiency, and yields.
• Integrates equipment and material capabilities to meet target specifications for process modules and technology.
• Reviews product development requirements for compatibility with manufacturing processes, assessing cost and schedule impacts.
• Collaborates with product design and development teams to ensure process‑design alignment.
• Leads innovation, development, and optimization of new manufacturing concepts, including scouting, feasibility, material selection, tooling, and equipment installation.
• Develops manufacturing processes suitable for statistical process control and measurement systems.
• Ensures all processes and procedures comply with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Baccalaureate degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 2 years, or PhD with no experience required.
• Proven ability to deliver R&D, systems, or initiatives related to new technologies or therapies, working independently and mentoring lower‑level specialists.
