Machine Operator II

About the role

Medtronic is seeking a Machine Operator II to join its manufacturing team. In this position you will operate a variety of light‑duty bench and floor‑type machine tools, ensuring that components are produced to precise tolerances and supporting the company’s mission to improve patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate equipment such as small lathes, power mills, extruding machines, drills, punch presses, power brakes, shears and saws.
• Perform routine maintenance and report any malfunctions or abnormalities.
• Measure finished parts using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to verify close tolerances.
• Monitor quality using statistical process control or other defined procedures.
• Support continuous‑production operations and assist with shipping, receiving, inventory control and storage as needed.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of manufacturing or supply‑chain processes gained through experience or relevant training.
• At least 1 year of hands‑on experience operating machine tools in a production environment.
• Ability to work under moderate supervision, follow established procedures and communicate effectively with internal teams.
