Tech Lead (Sanity CMS) – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead to join our client’s engineering team on a remote, project‑based basis. You will work closely with designers and engineers to drive large‑scale Sanity CMS migration initiatives and shape the overall architecture of the product.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate daily with the client’s design and engineering teams, providing technical guidance and leadership.
• Define and execute migration strategies for moving legacy content into Sanity CMS, including content modeling, data mapping, and transformation.
• Design and implement backend services, API‑driven architectures, and scalable distributed systems.
• Ensure data integrity and manage technical risks throughout migration projects.
• Collaborate with product, content, and engineering stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional full‑stack software engineering experience.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership role, making architecture decisions and guiding teams.
• Advanced English proficiency and a completed four‑year college degree.
• Proven track record of leading large‑scale Sanity CMS migration projects.

Required skills

• TypeScript and Node.js in production environments.
• Sanity CMS: content schemas, GROQ, migration tooling, APIs, and content architecture.
• RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
• Modern JavaScript frameworks such as React and/or Next.js.
• Headless CMS concepts and document‑based databases.
• Cloud platforms and modern deployment workflows.
