System Administrator

About the role

We are looking for an IT System Administrator to join our ServiceDesk team, overseeing server infrastructure, ensuring performance, and implementing best‑practice migration designs. The role blends remote work with regular on‑site presence at our Santo Domingo office.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site or remote Technology Business Reviews with customers.
• Identify critical data, manage backups, and support business continuity initiatives.
• Simulate data‑loss scenarios and implement preventive measures.
• Manage, monitor, and configure server environments, including patching, permissions, and service deployments.
• Create and maintain policies for on‑premises Active Directory and Azure AD.
• Monitor network performance and on‑prem/cloud resources.
• Integrate cloud systems into existing environments and evaluate new technologies.
• Define and enforce security strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Document infrastructure and resolve operational and security issues.
• Implement and monitor backup and disaster‑recovery plans.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Effective task management and multitasking.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years delivering technical infrastructure designs and implementations.
• Willingness to work hybrid, with 2‑3 days per week on‑site.
