Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

Hayco is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer in Santo Domingo who is passionate about quality, problem-solving and continuous improvement. The role strengthens supplier performance and protects operational continuity by managing material qualifications, monitoring supplier quality data, supporting improvement plans and working with suppliers and cross-functional teams to solve quality issues at their source.

Key responsibilities

• Manage material qualifications and monitor supplier quality data
• Support improvement plans and collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams on quality issues
• Contribute to new material and supplier development and quality audits
• Carry out root cause investigations and document control
• Improve incoming quality processes

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical or Biomedical Engineering
• 0 to 2 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in consumer goods, medical devices or pharmaceuticals
• Strong analytical, communication, teamwork and troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency in English
• Six Sigma White Belt or Yellow Belt certification preferred

Required skills

• Knowledge of statistics, problem-solving methodologies, technical drawings and specifications
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Experience with SAP and statistical analysis tools such as Minitab is an advantage
