Process Technician IV

About the role

Jabil is looking for a Process Technician IV who provides leadership in technical support to the manufacturing organization. The role ensures adherence to assembly procedures, ongoing quality and efficiency, the success of new product introductions and prototype production. It typically reports to management and is not directly responsible for managing other employees.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze cycle times of different operations and look for technical solutions that reduce standard costs.
• Provide technical support to production collaborators and ensure collaboration between departments.
• Support the deployment of the Lean Manufacturing approach and manage improvement projects.
• Participate in the choice of new equipment and facilities.
• Set up and follow corrective actions.
• Establish project progress reports with earnings calculation together with accounting.
• Act as the NC process subject matter expert for the department: coordinate and support the resolution of NC issues, improve the NC process and escalate risks of drift to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
• 3 to 5 years of total work experience in a relevant field.
• Regular business hours, with some additional hours possibly required; domestic and global travel of up to 25%.

Required skills

• Advanced PC skills, including knowledge of Jabil's software packages.
• Ability to use a Windows-based operating system and related software.
• Ability to read and understand visual aids, simple instructions and memos, and to write simple correspondence.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, rates, ratios and percentages, and interpretation of graphs.
