Operational Excellence Analyst

About the role

Hayco is looking for passionate Continuous Improvement professionals to join its team as an Operational Excellence Analyst. The role partners with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, eliminate waste, improve productivity and quality, and support the deployment of Lean Manufacturing practices. It suits candidates from emerging Operational Excellence professionals to seasoned Continuous Improvement practitioners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and business processes.
• Analyze operational performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate problem-solving activities using structured methodologies.
• Support Kaizen events, process mapping, value stream analysis and standard work development.
• Drive initiatives focused on productivity, quality, cost reduction, delivery and safety.
• Use data to identify trends and root causes, and create and maintain performance dashboards and KPIs.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and other stakeholders to implement sustainable improvements.
• Support change management and continuous improvement culture-building, and document processes, procedures and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• Experience in Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality or related functions.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with root cause analysis and process improvement tools.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Preferred: Lean tools such as Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management, SMED, A3 Problem Solving; Lean Six Sigma certification (Yellow Belt or higher).
• Preferred: Power BI, SAP, ERP systems or other analytics tools; experience facilitating improvement workshops; English proficiency.
