Senior Sanity + Next.js Developer (Remote - LATAM)

About the role

WorkO3 World, a Philadelphia‑based digital consultancy, is looking for a senior developer to join its remote LATAM team for a high‑intensity, three‑month contract. You will work alongside staff engineers on a headless content platform built with Sanity and Next.js, delivering migrations, new features, and post‑launch support for enterprise clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Sanity schemas, including document types, objects, references, and Studio configuration.
• Build Next.js front‑ends that consume those schemas, handling GROQ queries, caching, and on‑demand revalidation.
• Create and run migration pipelines from legacy CMSs (e.g., Umbraco, WordPress, Drupal) to Sanity, converting HTML to Portable Text.
• Maintain redirect maps for large‑scale migrations and implement UI components from Figma designs with full responsiveness and accessibility.
• Leverage AI coding agents to scaffold components, generate schemas, and automate repetitive tasks.
• Set up project instruction files, conventions, and reusable prompts to make AI assistance effective for the whole team.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and client‑facing technical discussions as needed.

Required profile

• Proven production experience with Sanity, especially schema design and Studio configuration.
• Strong expertise in Next.js (App Router, server components, data‑fetching patterns).
• Solid TypeScript and React skills.
• Hands‑on experience migrating content from legacy CMS platforms at volume.
• Ability to write reusable ETL scripts and make them re‑runnable.
• Comfort reading Figma files and implementing designs without exhaustive specifications.
• Clear written communication for asynchronous collaboration.
