Product & Software Engineering Manager

About the role

Thryv is seeking a leader to manage a team of engineers who design, develop, implement, troubleshoot, and optimize scalable, high‑performance software and product applications. The manager will drive the vision and strategy, ensuring robust, customer‑focused solutions that fuel product innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the Software & Product Engineering team, establishing specifications and standards for high‑quality development.
• Oversee coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting across the full development lifecycle to meet project milestones and budgets.
• Architect scalable database solutions and select tools/methodologies that streamline development.
• Monitor project timelines, resolve recurring issues, and report progress to senior leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement, refine processes, and ensure efficient workflow through operating policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or international equivalent).
• 6+ years of relevant experience (8+ years preferred) in software or product engineering, including people management.
• Proven experience collaborating with Product Managers and Designers in cross‑functional, Agile environments.
• Strong project‑management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.
