Restaurant Manager - Rooftop, Bar and Room Service

AC Hotels is hiring a full-time Restaurant Manager (job number 26139278) in Santiago, Dominican Republic. Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage employees, understand their positions and cover for them in their absence
• Maintain service and sanitation standards in the restaurant, bar/lounge and room service areas
• Review staffing levels to meet guest service, operational and financial objectives
• Lead the food and beverage team, coach and mentor staff, and set clear expectations and goals
• Ensure compliance with food and beverage policies, laws and regulations, and with food handling and sanitation standards
• Monitor alcohol beverage service in line with local laws
• Deliver exceptional customer service, handle guest complaints and collect feedback to drive continuous improvement
• Manage human resources: set performance standards, develop training programs, treat employees fairly and improve retention
• Oversee the financial aspects of the department, including purchasing and invoice payments
• Assist servers and hosts during busy periods and supervise shifts in the absence of the Assistant Restaurant Manager

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED, or a 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field
• 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary or a related profession, or 2 years of experience with a 2-year degree
• Previous experience in rooftop, bars and/or restaurants
