Purchasing Manager – Pre‑Opening

About the role

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia is seeking a Purchasing Manager to join the pre‑opening team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will lead all purchasing activities, ensuring that goods and services are sourced competitively, ethically, and in line with Four Seasons quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the property’s purchasing function, overseeing procurement of food, beverage, operating supplies, equipment, and contracted services.
• Support pre‑opening procurement tasks, including vendor sourcing, product evaluations, opening orders, delivery scheduling, and coordination of operational supplies.
• Partner with department leaders to define specifications, quality expectations, and delivery timelines.
• Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with qualified local and international suppliers, emphasizing responsible local procurement.
• Obtain and analyze competitive quotations, negotiate terms, and ensure compliance with financial controls.

Required profile

• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement within the hospitality or resort sector.
• Strong understanding of pre‑opening procurement processes and vendor management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with finance and operational teams.
• Commitment to ethical sourcing and adherence to quality standards.
