Lead AI Product Engineer / Tech Lead

About the role

Transekur builds and runs production software for travel and ground-transport businesses: online booking platforms, payments, customer messaging and an operations ERP used daily by dispatchers and drivers. It is hiring a hands-on technical lead to own its booking and growth platform end to end and lead a second engineer. The role is remote-first, based in the Dominican Republic.

Key responsibilities

• Own one live product end to end: specifications, build, QA, releases and incidents.
• Turn business requests into clear specifications with acceptance criteria.
• Build with AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, Lovable, Copilot) and review their output critically.
• Manage GitHub (branches, PRs, code review), releases, documentation and monitoring.
• Lead and review the work of a second engineer.

Required profile

• 3+ years building software that real users used in production, with links or repos shown.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish.
• A finisher who ships, tests and documents, and pushes back respectfully when needed.

Required skills

• Strong TypeScript/JavaScript, React and SQL (Postgres).
• Supabase or a similar backend is a big plus.
• Experience with payments (Stripe), APIs/webhooks and serverless/edge functions.
• Daily use of AI coding tools with good judgment about when they are wrong.

What we offer

• Full-time position with a competitive salary in USD.
• Remote-first work in the Dominican Republic.
• Long-term growth path to studio lead.

To apply, send your CV, your GitHub or portfolio and 2-3 links to things you shipped; shortlisted candidates complete a short paid technical evaluation.
