Quality Automation Engineer

About the role

Flash is looking for a Quality Automation Engineer to join its Santo Domingo team. The role focuses on software quality through the creation, execution and maintenance of automated tests, working closely with development and product teams in a cross-functional agile team. Most of the time is spent writing code to automate test suites, with a hybrid setup of 2 days at the Metro Plaza office.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust, scalable automated test suites covering the application
• Extend existing automated testing frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency
• Define test strategies, create test plans and detailed test cases with developers and product managers
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Take part in design and feature reviews to flag quality risks and testability issues
• Identify, document and track defects, working with developers to verify fixes
• Support performance and security testing, and help maintain stable test environments and test data
• Use tools for test execution, reporting and quality metrics, and take part in stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in a QA automation role
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (preferred)
• Fluent spoken and written English and Spanish
• Analytical, detail-oriented, collaborative and adaptable, able to work independently

Required skills

• Object-oriented programming in TypeScript, C#, Java or Python
• Hands-on testing of APIs, UI and mobile apps
• Automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress or Appium
• CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and Git
• SQL for test data management and backend validation
