L2/L3 Systems Engineer (MSP Experience Required)

About the role

Outsourcing Advantage is looking for a seasoned L2/L3 Systems Engineer to provide advanced technical support to multiple U.S.-based clients. The role focuses on managing and troubleshooting Microsoft‑centric cloud and on‑premise environments within a Managed Services Provider setting.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Level 2 and Level 3 support for client infrastructures, covering Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, servers, endpoints and related services.
• Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft cloud services such as Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, SharePoint and Intune.
• Maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Domain Controllers, Group Policy and directory synchronization.
• Configure and support network components like firewalls, VPNs, content filtering and security solutions.
• Manage virtualization platforms, hypervisors and virtual machines, and assist with Azure Virtual Machines and Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Oversee backup solutions, perform troubleshooting and ensure successful data recovery.
• Document service calls, system configurations, diagrams and internal procedures; create knowledge‑base articles and checklists.
• Research and implement new technologies, tools and best practices to improve client environments.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in a Managed Services Provider environment supporting multiple clients.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a track record of resolving complex technical issues.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet SLA commitments under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and process‑driven.
