HR Support Specialist (Remote, Day Shift)

About the role

Emapta is hiring a full-time, remote HR Support Specialist for a U.S.-based Professional Employer Organization (PEO) that offers payroll, benefits, HR compliance and workforce management services to small and midsized businesses. The position is a day shift with weekends off, working from home.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound customer calls and support HR-related inquiries and concerns
• Gather and assess customer information through active listening, clarify concerns and research issues
• Identify root causes of HR issues and explain clear solutions, guiding customers through next steps
• Train users on HR systems and technology platforms
• Coordinate with internal teams and follow up with customers to confirm resolution
• Document all interactions, actions and resolutions in the ticket system
• Improve HR support processes and identify opportunities to enhance service quality

Required profile

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
• 1 to 3 years of experience in HR, payroll, benefits administration or PEO environments; U.S.-based HR experience highly preferred
• Bilingual English and Spanish
• Strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and ability to stay calm under pressure

Required skills

• Use of CRM platforms and ticketing systems
• Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute, subject to assessment
• Knowledge of HR administration principles and HRIS familiarity
