General Manager, AC Hotel Santiago de los Caballeros

About the role

The General Manager of the AC Hotel Santiago de los Caballeros is the primary business leader and brand activator, responsible for all aspects of the property's operation. The role covers general property performance, beverage and food operations, and leads sales and marketing strategies focused on local market trends, while ensuring profitability and revenue. It is a full-time management position based at the hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Manage hotel operations and department budgets, enforce brand service programs, and provide timely feedback on service and operational standards
• Balance labor across departments to meet profitability goals and stay within staff budget guidelines
• Prepare the team for QA audits, follow up on guest voice scores and online reviews, and act as project manager for capital improvements
• Keep public spaces, grounds, work and kitchen areas clean and safe, and implement major brand standards such as The AC Kitchen and The AC Lounge
• Monitor beverage and food forecasting and par levels, maintain vendor relationships, and run periodic compliance audits with Heart of House associates
• Manage sales and marketing: build relationships with key accounts, engage in-house guests and locals, collaborate with marketing and eCommerce managers, and coach sales staff on selling strategies
• Work with the sales office on goals, rates and the property sales review, and leverage social media and digital channels to promote the hotel
• Lead human resources: recruit and hire, train and coach associates, run performance reviews, and foster an open, fair workplace

Required profile

• Fluent in Spanish and English
• Previous General Manager experience and Food and Beverage experience preferred
• Either a 2-year degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management or a related field with 8 years of experience in management, sales and marketing, or a 4-year degree with 6 years of experience
