Food & Beverage Manager (Restaurant & Banquet)

About the role

Courtyard is hiring a Food & Beverage Manager (restaurant and banquet) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The position covers all food and beverage operations, including culinary, restaurant, beverage and room service, and is responsible for guest and employee satisfaction, standards and financial goals. The role also oversees the development and implementation of the food and beverage business plan.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain budgets, and manage financial, employee engagement and guest satisfaction plans for the Food & Beverage department
• Manage day-to-day operations of the department, including culinary, restaurant, beverage and room service, and supervise employees
• Provide coaching, mentoring and performance reviews, and set clear expectations and goals for staff
• Deliver exceptional customer service, resolve guest complaints and verify that banquet functions meet guest expectations
• Ensure compliance with food and beverage laws and regulations
• Communicate department information through logs, meetings and reports, and follow corporate accounting procedures

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED, or a 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field
• 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary or a related area, or 2 years of experience with a 2-year degree
