Food & Beverage Manager

About the role

Courtyard is looking for a Food & Beverage Manager in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The position covers all food and beverage operations, including culinary, restaurant, beverage and room service, and is responsible for guest and employee satisfaction, standards and financial goals. It is a full-time management position.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain budgets, and manage financial, employee engagement and guest satisfaction plans for the Food & Beverage department while keeping costs under control.
• Lead the Food & Beverage team, supervising employees and overseeing day-to-day operations, including culinary, restaurant, beverage and room service.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and performance reviews, set clear expectations and reward high performance.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, resolve guest complaints and ensure banquet functions meet or exceed guest expectations.
• Manage human resources activities, including performance standards, fair treatment policies and training programs.
• Comply with food and beverage laws and regulations, and develop and implement the department's business plan.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED, or a 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field.
• 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary or a related area, or 2 years of experience with a 2-year degree.
