About the role

Plaza Lama, a leading Dominican retail chain, is looking for a Refrigeration Technician to maintain and repair its cooling and air‑conditioning systems across its stores. The position is full‑time, on‑site, and involves ensuring that refrigeration units, display cases and HVAC equipment operate reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on refrigeration and air‑conditioning systems.
• Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and replace defective components.
• Inspect and test electrical and mechanical parts, including reading schematics.
• Collaborate with other maintenance teams to schedule interventions and minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.

Required profile

• Technical training in refrigeration, electricity, electromechanics or a related field.
• Previous experience in commercial or industrial cold‑storage maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
