System Lean Engineer (Lean Coach)

About the role

Jabil is looking for a System Lean Engineer / Lean Coach in San Cristobal. The role leads and sustains the deployment of the Jabil Operating System (JOS+), drives Lean culture transformation and ensures adherence to Jabil's operational excellence standards. It acts as a change agent, coach and facilitator working with operations and functional teams to build Lean capabilities and sustain continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and continuously improve daily quality and efficiency performance for assigned areas
• Design and procure production tooling, processing equipment and workstations, and coordinate layout and workstation moves
• Prepare time estimates for proposed projects and evaluate time factors
• Analyze operational KPIs, trends and performance gaps to find systemic improvement opportunities
• Use the Four Quadrant methodology (trend charts, Pareto analysis, action plans, Paynter charts)
• Lead root cause analysis and structured problem solving, and monitor corrective and preventive actions
• Ensure compliance with Jabil operational excellence standards and system requirements
• Foster a culture of accountability, engagement and respect for people, and drive throughput improvement, waste elimination and process optimization
• Follow safety, health, security and company procedures

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration or a related field
• Demonstrated experience coaching leaders and teams in Lean tools and methodologies
• Experience managing KPIs, problem-solving processes and operational improvement projects
• Experience with change management; experience facilitating Kaizen events, value stream improvements and Lean transformation is a plus
• Jabil Bronze certification preferred; Silver is a plus

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office and data analysis skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project
• Knowledge of the Jabil Operating System (JOS)
• Excellent coaching, mentoring, communication and influencing skills
