Process Technician III

About the role

Jabil is looking for a Process Technician III in San Cristobal. Working under general supervision, the role provides technical leadership and support to the manufacturing organisation so that assembly procedures, ongoing quality and efficiency, and new product introductions and prototype production succeed.

Key responsibilities

• Support all Safety, Health and Environment (EHS) programmes and initiatives.
• Act as the main link between engineering and manufacturing for transferring customer documents to the manufacturing process.
• Interpret assembly drawings and work with production assemblers to create assembly work instructions.
• Aid engineering in defining the tools and processes needed for assembly.
• Set up routing requirements, standards and data entry in the QM module, and enter the correct status in SAP.
• Provide "Train The Trainer" training for manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Help move new products and prototypes onto the manufacturing floor for specific equipment lines.
• Review labour standards for re-costing and assist in preparing labour quotes.
• Assist in implementing ECO, ECR, BOM and problem feedback into manufacturing.
• Order stencils according to Jabil circuit design guidelines.
• Follow the company's safety policy and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma; a technical degree in a related area is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
• Ability to present information clearly to managers, clients, customers and the public.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, memos and visual aids, and to write simple correspondence.

Required skills

• Operating a personal computer with a Windows-based operating system and related software.
• Defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions.
