Lean Coach

About the role

Jabil is looking for a Lean Coach who provides Lean expertise and guidance through the development, documentation, implementation and validation of focused, sustainable value stream transformations. The role builds synergy across a value stream, shares best practices, coaches teams and strengthens the company's capability for continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the Lean Six Sigma Manager to introduce and sustain a Lean culture in a value stream, and coach on value stream design, project identification and prioritisation
• Monitor and coach value stream transformation initiatives to reduce throughput time
• Lead Kaizen events, Blitzes and Lean projects, and act as a mentor and coach for Bronze and Silver certification projects
• Develop a best-practice sharing network supported by eKaizen and take responsibility for the Lean Shop Floor Series
• Own value stream transformation metrics and data integrity in eKaizen, and use the Lean Index Assessment to measure progress
• Develop and mentor lean leaders, and align with finance so Lean project impacts enter Jabil's financial processes
• Follow safety, health, security and ethics rules, and may perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• 1 to 2 years of experience as a quality engineer, industrial engineer, planner, line manager or equivalent
• Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline preferred
• Bronze certified by Jabil or a recognised body (ASQ, SME, Shingo Prize)
• Experience in change management, project management and financial management, or an equivalent combination

Required skills

• Understanding of Lean manufacturing fundamentals and proficiency in Lean tools and processes
• Skilled in financial project cost savings analysis
• Advanced PC skills, including Jabil's software packages
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
