About the role

The Fiscal and Tax Supervisor leads the preparation of annual tax returns for a portfolio of clients, ensures the quality of monthly filings, handles medium‑complexity tax queries, and actively participates in tax audits and planning under the Director’s guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of annual corporate income tax (ISR) and IR‑2 returns for assigned clients.
• Review and approve monthly tax filings (IT‑1, formats 606/607, IR‑17) according to the DOA matrix.
• Prepare technical tax‑planning analyses, including projected savings, associated risks, and implementation schedules.
• Respond to DGII (Dominican tax authority) requests: analyze requirements, gather supporting documents, and draft responses.
• Support the Director in DGII audit meetings and identify new tax‑planning opportunities.
• Maintain the firm‑wide technical criteria repository and coordinate weekly operational team meetings.
• Collaborate with Accounting and BPO departments to obtain timely information for filings.
• Participate in performance evaluations and conduct monthly internal training on DGII updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; a tax specialization or diploma is highly valued.
• Minimum 5 years of tax practice, including at least 2 years as a Senior with direct technical responsibility.
• Documented experience preparing annual tax returns and handling DGII inquiries.
• Native Spanish speaker with intermediate English proficiency.
