Accountant – Finance & Reporting (EMEA)

About the role

As an Accountant you will support accurate and timely financial reporting for Atlas Copco Vacuum Technique entities across the EMEA region. You will be involved in month‑end closing, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, reporting and process‑improvement activities while collaborating closely with Finance colleagues and business partners.

Key responsibilities

• Support month‑end closing and IFRS reporting activities.
• Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, accruals and corrections.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations and financial analyses.
• Book payroll‑related transactions and prepare related reports.
• Support statutory reporting, tax packs and audit activities.
• Resolve SAP‑related queries and conduct accounting analyses.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial records.
• Contribute to process improvements, knowledge sharing and team development.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in AP, AR or General Ledger.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Secondary or university education in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Proactive, customer‑oriented and team‑focused attitude.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently and continuously seek improvements.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel.
• SAP (knowledge is an advantage).
• Familiarity with IFRS reporting standards.
