Retail Manager

About the role

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia is seeking a Retail Manager to join the pre‑opening team. Reporting to the Director of Spa and Wellness, you will lead retail operations, curate product assortments and deliver personalized guest experiences while driving sales and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in pre‑opening activities: define workflows, support store setup, select equipment and establish policies and service standards.
• Curate a distinctive merchandise assortment aligned with Four Seasons standards and local Dominican craftsmanship.
• Recruit, train, schedule and develop the retail team, fostering a culture of care and sales excellence.
• Lead daily store operations, including opening/closing, POS transactions, inventory control and visual‑merchandising.
• Monitor sales targets, revenue, conversion rates and inventory turnover; prepare performance reports.
• Engage with guests and residents to provide personalized shopping experiences and handle inquiries, returns and service requests.

Required profile

• College degree or equivalent experience in Retail Management, Merchandising, Business Administration, Hospitality or related field.
• Three to five years of progressive luxury or resort retail management experience with leadership responsibility.
• Strong commercial judgment, organization, creativity and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with computerized point‑of‑sale systems.
• Familiarity with retail inventory platforms.
