Housekeeping Manager

About the role

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to join the pre‑opening team. Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, you will lead daily housekeeping operations and ensure guest rooms, suites, residences and public areas meet Four Seasons standards of cleanliness, comfort and personalized care.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily housekeeping activities, including room cleaning, turndown service, house attendant operations and public area upkeep.
• Participate in pre‑opening tasks such as room inspections, snagging, operational handover and mock‑room exercises.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures, cleaning sequences, inspection standards and departmental controls.
• Recruit, onboard, train, schedule, coach and develop housekeeping staff, fostering teamwork and accountability.
• Inspect guest rooms, suites, residences and public areas to ensure they meet Four Seasons standards.
• Coordinate room assignments, staffing and priorities based on occupancy and special requests.
• Collaborate with Front Desk, Guest Experience, Engineering, Laundry, Security and other departments to ensure seamless service.
• Monitor labor productivity, scheduling, overtime and operating expenses while maintaining quality.
• Maintain inventories of linen, supplies, cleaning products and equipment, ensuring proper chemical handling and safety compliance.

Required profile

• University degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3‑5 years of progressive housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel or resort, with supervisory or management responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of guest‑room cleaning, inspections, turndown service, linen and supply controls, productivity management and occupational safety.
• Fluency in Spanish and working proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Experience with property‑management systems, work‑order platforms or housekeeping‑management technology (preferred).
