Refrigeration Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Refrigeration Technician to join Editora de Formas, S.A. in Santo Domingo. The successful candidate will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of the company's refrigeration and air‑conditioning systems, ensuring optimal performance and a stable working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on chillers, air handling units (AHU), inverter air conditioners and direct‑expansion equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical failures in refrigeration and climatization systems.
• Carry out corrective interventions, adjustments and repairs to restore equipment functionality.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and interventions.
• Collaborate with the broader maintenance team to plan and schedule work.

Required profile

• Technical degree in Refrigeration, Air‑Conditioning, or a related field.
• Proven experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of refrigeration systems.
• Responsible, proactive, results‑oriented and able to work safely.
• Strong teamwork, organizational skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with chillers and air handling units (AHU).
• Knowledge of inverter air‑conditioning units and direct‑expansion systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults in refrigeration equipment.
