Quality Engineering Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Engineering Technician to ensure that raw materials, in‑process items and finished products meet Convatec’s strict quality standards. The role involves systematic testing, inspection and documentation within a medical‑device manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and test raw materials, work‑in‑process components and final goods for compliance with technical specifications.
• Compare physical characteristics of components, materials and equipment against defined tolerances to identify defects.
• Perform electrical function tests, reliability assessments and packaging quality evaluations.
• Record test results accurately and prepare detailed technical reports.
• Provide assistance and on‑the‑job training to junior staff members.

Required profile

• Broad knowledge of operational procedures and quality tools, typically gained through vocational or technical education and hands‑on experience.
• Ability to work under limited supervision and analyse non‑routine problems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product integrity.
