Processing Associate - Tax Preparation Support

About the role

The Processing Associate supports the back-office operations of the Processing Department, working alongside Case Managers and Enrolled Agents. The role combines administrative work with client-focused outreach: making Transcript Investigation (TI) calls to obtain tax information directly from the IRS, and handling key back-office tasks so the team has accurate, timely documentation and data for tax preparation and negotiation services.

Key responsibilities

• Make TI calls for individual and business clients, contact the IRS Practitioner line unit to retrieve transcripts, log results in the CRM and archive the documents
• Process and submit Power of Attorney revocation requests, keeping case files up to date
• Complete and submit IRS Form 2848 (Power of Attorney and Declaration of Representative) and Form 8821 (Tax Information Authorization), with tracking logs and timely follow-up
• Retrieve taxpayer information transcripts from IRS databases and distribute them to Case Managers or Enrolled Agents
• Create and disable scheduled alerts for deadlines, follow-ups and document reviews, and maintain the department calendar
• Enter client and case data accurately and help maintain the department databases

Required profile

• Valid Dominican passport
• Social Security Number
• Advanced English, verbal and written
• Experience in data entry and back-office operations
• Knowledge of tax processes is a plus
