Pricing Supervisor

About the role

Expeditors, a global logistics company and Fortune 500 employer, is hiring a Pricing Supervisor in Santo Domingo. The role manages quotes and RFQs, coordinates daily pricing work, supports Pricing Analysts and negotiates rates with carriers and service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage quotes and RFQs, including complex, strategic, urgent and high-value opportunities.
• Maintain an active pricing workload and support the team when capacity, request complexity or business priorities require it.
• Coordinate daily pricing assignments, monitor turnaround times and act to prevent or reduce backlog.
• Support Pricing Analysts with rate sourcing, provider selection, routing options, margin decisions and challenging requests.
• Review quotes for accuracy, completeness, competitiveness, profitability and compliance with company standards.
• Obtain and compare rates from carriers, co-loaders, providers and network offices, and negotiate rates and commercial conditions within delegated authority.
• Monitor margins and analyse quote results, customer feedback, wins, losses and market conditions to spot commercial opportunities.
• Partner with Sales and Customer Service to understand customer needs and develop competitive solutions.
• Coach Pricing Analysts, escalate significant margin exceptions, service risks, capacity constraints and commercial commitments, and protect confidential information.

Required profile

• Relevant pricing, freight forwarding, logistics, transportation or industry experience.
• Practical experience preparing quotes and RFQs.
• Understanding of buying and selling rates, margins, profitability, surcharges and commercial risk.
• Experience negotiating with carriers or service providers.
• Strong commercial judgement, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to supervise others while staying actively involved in daily operations.
• Knowledge of relevant markets, carriers, routings and service options.
