Minor League Physical Therapist (DR)

About the role

As a Minor League Physical Therapist (DR) for the Miami Marlins, you will deliver rehabilitation, injury‑prevention and recovery services to Minor League players based in the Dominican Republic. Working closely with athletic trainers, team physicians and strength‑and‑conditioning staff, you will help optimise player health and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.
• Conduct movement assessments and design corrective exercise plans to reduce injury risk.
• Provide manual therapy and therapeutic modalities to accelerate recovery.
• Collaborate daily with athletic trainers, physicians and performance staff.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with MLB and team health protocols.
• Educate players on recovery, mobility and injury‑prevention best practices.
• Support on‑field and training‑room activities before, during and after games.
• Report injury updates and progress to the Assistant Director of Athletic Training and Rehabilitation.

Required profile

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) required.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy, rehabilitation and injury‑prevention techniques.
• Experience with movement assessments, manual therapy and therapeutic exercise prescription.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with MLB and MiLB health and safety regulations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
