Maintenance Director – North Zone

About the role

As the Maintenance Director for the North Zone, you will lead the planning, coordination and supervision of all preventive and corrective maintenance activities across Bahia Principe’s North Zone hotels. Based at Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo, you will ensure that electrical, mechanical, plumbing and other facility systems operate efficiently, safely and in line with sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical, mechanical, plumbing and equipment across the North Zone properties.
• Develop and control the annual maintenance budget, including operating expenses and investment proposals.
• Implement and monitor maintenance manuals, standards, policies, processes and systems.
• Manage asset inventory, lifecycle tracking, incident management and risk mapping.
• Lead maintenance projects and technical interventions in collaboration with hotel operations, procurement and other departments.
• Oversee maintenance teams, schedule planning, incident handling and coverage across properties.
• Monitor operational KPIs and performance indicators to ensure quality, cost control and sustainability objectives.
• Supervise external service providers and contractors, ensuring compliance with technical and corporate standards.
• Prepare and present regular operational, financial and KPI‑based maintenance reports.
• Support internal and external audits, guaranteeing traceability and compliance.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Post‑graduate studies in Industrial or related disciplines (as indicated in the original posting).
• Extensive experience in maintenance management within the hospitality sector.
