Laundry Manager

About the role

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia is seeking a Laundry Manager to join the pre‑opening team. Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, you will lead all laundry, linen and uniform operations, ensuring high quality and timely service for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of laundry, linen and uniform areas, including washing, drying, pressing, folding, storage and distribution.
• Participate in pre‑opening activities such as equipment testing, SOP development, workflow design and inventory organization.
• Recruit, train, schedule and develop the laundry team, fostering a positive, teamwork‑focused environment.
• Maintain rigorous quality control for guest laundry, room linen, F&B linen, spa linen and employee uniforms.
• Manage uniform room issuance, collection, cleaning, pressing, alteration, repair and storage.
• Monitor inventories, par levels, losses and conduct regular counts.
• Control chemical usage, ensure safe handling and minimize waste.
• Track productivity, labor costs, chemical consumption, utilities and departmental expenses, identifying efficiency improvements.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs with Engineering to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and Four Seasons policies.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of progressive laundry experience in a hotel or commercial‑laundry setting, with supervisory responsibility.
• Luxury‑hospitality experience preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish required; working proficiency in English.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

• Technical knowledge of commercial laundry equipment and washing processes.
• Expertise in fabric care, stain removal and chemical handling.
• Linen control and uniform‑room operations.
