Human Resources Specialist (Santo Domingo)

About the role

Esperanza International is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to manage employee‑related policies and programs in its Santo Domingo office. The role focuses on payroll administration, general HR operations, and recruitment support.

Key responsibilities

• Administer payroll, generate payment slips, and stay current with legal changes affecting compensation.
• Reconcile Social Security (TSS) contributions, loan deductions, health and life insurance updates, and process severance and benefits payments.
• Handle onboarding and off‑boarding, maintain personnel files, issue identification badges, and manage vacation and special leave requests.
• Submit required reports to regulatory bodies such as Social Security and the Ministry of Labor.
• Maintain and update personnel records, follow integration procedures for new hires, and oversee recruitment channels.
• Conduct interviews, technical and psychological assessments, reference checks, and pre‑employment medical exams; present shortlists and assist in final candidate selection.

Required profile

• Experience executing HR policies and programs aligned with departmental objectives.
• Ability to manage payroll processes, calculate benefits, and ensure compliance with local labor laws.
• Proficiency in handling employee records, onboarding/off‑boarding, and regulatory reporting.
• Strong recruitment skills, including sourcing, interviewing, and candidate assessment.
