HR Process Automation Engineer

About the role

Barrick is looking for an HR Process Automation Engineer to join its Human Resources team in Pueblo Viejo. The engineer designs, develops, implements and continuously improves automated solutions that make HR operations more efficient, accurate and compliant, and strengthens the employee experience. The role acts as a technical and functional partner to HR teams, helping them identify automation opportunities, integrate systems and use data to drive decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess and prioritize opportunities to automate, standardize and optimize HR processes, reducing manual work, operational risk and processing times.
• Design, develop, implement and maintain end-to-end automation solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps, RPA and other digital technologies.
• Optimize and integrate HR systems, including Oracle HCM Cloud, to improve data accuracy and system connectivity.
• Develop automated controls, validations, reconciliations and exception monitoring across Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, Time & Labor, Absence Management and other HR areas.
• Build digital workflows and case management solutions to improve request tracking, approvals, service levels and employee experience.
• Create automated dashboards, reports and performance indicators with Power BI and other analytical tools.
• Work with HR process owners, IT and Finance to turn business requirements into scalable, secure automation solutions.
• Lead the automation lifecycle: process mapping, design, testing, deployment, documentation, user training and change management.
• Monitor and improve automated solutions for reliability, data protection and compliance, and measure their impact on productivity, errors and time saved.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in process automation, systems integration, digital transformation or business process optimization; experience in HR or other high-volume operational environments is preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English (preferred).
