About the role

The company seeks a high‑profile Accounting Manager to ensure accurate, timely financial information and robust internal controls. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the role leads a small accounting team and supports strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic‑financial leadership alongside senior management, defining strategy and assessing risks.
• Oversee monthly closes and preparation of financial statements, guaranteeing precision and timeliness.
• Supervise tax calculations, forecasts and payments to ensure full compliance with Dominican regulations.
• Participate in budgeting, monitor execution and implement corrective actions for variances.
• Design, maintain and monitor internal control systems and policies.
• Manage accounts receivable/payable, cash collections, payroll and vendor payments.
• Validate bank reconciliations, fixed‑asset records and annual inventory adjustments.
• Coordinate external audits and respond to banks and regulatory institutions.
• Report financial indicators, analyses and recommendations to senior leadership and the Board.
• Lead, evaluate and develop the three‑person accounting team.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years in a similar senior accounting role (e.g., Accounting Manager, Controller).
• Proven experience supervising accounting teams and managing month‑end processes.
• University degree in Accounting or Finance (mandatory); Master’s in Finance (desired).
• Strong knowledge of Dominican fiscal regulations and internal‑control procedures.
• Experience with budgeting, project management and financial reporting.
• Native Spanish speaker with intermediate English proficiency.
