Senior Tax Analyst – Regional Tax Advisor

About the role

Provide support to the SOL Group tax function by preparing tax returns, calculating provisions, conducting research, assisting audits, ensuring compliance and delivering strategic tax analysis across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review local income tax returns for corporations and indirect taxes in multiple jurisdictions.
• Calculate and document quarterly and annual tax provisions, including analysis of tax accounts and reserves.
• Research complex tax issues, interpret tax laws and regulations, and apply them to specific transactions.
• Assist with tax audits by gathering documentation, responding to inquiries and resolving issues.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, managing tax registrations and filings.
• Analyze the tax impact of business decisions, structures and transactions and identify opportunities for tax savings.

Required profile

• Professional level of a recognized accounting qualification (CGA, ACCA, CPA, CA).
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in tax or accounting roles.
• Experience with Latin American/Caribbean tax matters.
• Strong command of written and oral English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with Alteryx or Power BI (or similar tools).
• Proficiency with tax software such as Onesource or Vertex.
• Familiarity with major accounting systems like SAP or GP.
