General Accountant – Accounting, Tax & Finance Management

About the role

Visalia Caribe is seeking a highly efficient General Accountant to lead and coordinate all accounting, tax and financial activities for its solar energy operations in the Bávaro‑Punta Cana region. The role ensures compliance with Dominican Republic tax and labor regulations while providing accurate financial information for strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the full accounting cycle, guaranteeing precise financial records.
• Prepare and file tax obligations with the DGII on time to avoid penalties.
• Manage payroll processing, tax withholdings and reporting to the TSS and Ministry of Labor.
• Produce periodic financial reports to support executive decision‑making.
• Handle cost accounting for solar installation and maintenance projects.
• Coordinate internal and external audits as required.

Required profile

• Proactive and methodical professional with strong knowledge of Dominican tax and labor legislation.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure regulatory compliance with DGII, TSS and Ministry of Labor.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Comprehensive understanding of the complete accounting cycle.
• Experience in tax filing and payroll administration under Dominican regulations.
• Ability to prepare financial and cost reports.
• Familiarity with audit coordination.
