Data Engineer – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

This position supports data‑driven decision making by building reliable, scalable pipelines and enabling analytics across the organization. You will work with a modern data stack, collaborating closely with business stakeholders to turn raw data into actionable insights and AI‑powered improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines for business analytics.
• Perform data manipulation, transformation, and cleansing to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Develop and maintain Snowflake database solutions and optimized data models.
• Leverage AWS services for data storage, processing, and analytics.
• Use Terraform to manage cloud resources as infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Orchestrate workflows and schedule pipelines with Apache Airflow.
• Develop, test, and maintain modular transformations using dbt.
• Create and maintain reports and dashboards in Looker.
• Apply AI and machine‑learning concepts to improve data workflows and automation.

Required profile

• Strong Python programming skills for data engineering tasks.
• Proficiency in SQL for database management and querying.
• Hands‑on production experience with Apache Airflow and dbt.
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Solid background using AWS services for data workloads.
• Administration experience with Snowflake.
• Experience building dashboards in Looker.
• Active daily use of AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot).
