Senior Data Scientist - Cybersecurity

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join the core AI team of a fast‑growing technology company that secures AI interactions. You will work hands‑on across data curation, model development, evaluation, and optimization to build NLP models that detect risks such as sensitive‑data exposure, unsafe content, and adversarial prompts.

Key responsibilities

• Build, curate, clean, and maintain datasets for NLP and AI security use cases, including safe/unsafe prompts and adversarial examples.
• Generate synthetic data with large language models to improve model robustness.
• Train, fine‑tune, and evaluate transformer‑based models for real‑time risk detection.
• Develop custom classifiers and NER models to identify sensitive information.
• Design evaluation pipelines and benchmarks to measure accuracy, false‑positives, and performance.
• Optimize models and inference workflows for low‑latency production environments.
• Collaborate with engineering and AI teams to move experiments into reliable production solutions.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or related role.
• Strong hands‑on experience with NLP, transformer architectures, and modern language‑model ecosystems.
• Proven ability to work independently on ambiguous ML problems and deliver production‑ready solutions.
