Contador General – Industria Manufacturera

About the role

The General Accountant will lead the accounting, fiscal and financial processes of a manufacturing company in Santo Domingo. The role ensures compliance with Dominican regulations, guarantees the reliability of financial information, and provides strategic support to senior management for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and execute the company’s general accounting.
• Prepare and analyze monthly and annual closing entries.
• Produce financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
• Ensure full compliance with DGII and TSS tax obligations, including NCF, ITBIS, ISR, withholdings and fiscal reporting.
• Control and reconcile inventory and production cost records.
• Perform industrial cost analysis and profitability margin calculations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules and accounting provisions.
• Prepare financial reports and analyses for General Management and Executive Leadership.
• Optimize accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
• Lead and supervise the accounting team, when applicable.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial control activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required); valid Exequatur highly valued.
• Post‑graduate studies or Master’s in Finance, Auditing or Taxation preferred.
• 7‑10 years of progressive accounting experience, specifically in manufacturing.
• Strong background in production costing and inventory management.
• Hands‑on experience with Dominican tax obligations (DGII / TSS).
• Demonstrated leadership, analytical ability, integrity and attention to detail.

What we offer

• Base salary of RD$140,000 per month.
• Fuel allowance of RD$15,000 (reimbursed against invoice with NCF).
• Annual bonus equal to one additional month’s salary, based on goal achievement.
