Collections Specialist

About the role

Cashera, a fast‑growing fintech and lending firm, is looking for a Collections Specialist to join its Santo Domingo office. The role focuses on managing overdue customer accounts, securing payments, and supporting the company’s goal of reducing delinquency while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Contact customers via phone, email and text regarding past‑due balances.
• Negotiate payment plans or settlement agreements where appropriate.
• Monitor accounts and keep accurate records of all collection activities.
• Follow up on missed payments and resolve payment‑related issues.
• Identify and flag high‑risk or severely delinquent accounts for escalation.
• Collaborate closely with underwriting, customer service and operations teams.
• Achieve collection performance targets and recovery goals.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in collections.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Capacity to handle a high volume of accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Experience in fintech, lending, merchant cash advance or related financial services.
