Investment Analyst – Financial Institutions Group (LAC)

About the role

The International Finance Corporation is seeking an Investment Analyst to join its Financial Institutions Group covering Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and the broader LAC region. The analyst will support investment officers in sourcing, structuring and monitoring a portfolio of loans, quasi‑equity and equity investments.

Key responsibilities

• Build financial analysis models and support structuring of new investments.
• Analyze historical and projected financial statements and prepare periodic portfolio reports.
• Conduct industry and market research to assist business development efforts.
• Monitor operational and financial performance of client companies and recommend active portfolio management actions.
• Prepare documentation for internal processes and ensure compliance with IFC financial, environmental and legal requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in finance.
• 2‑4 years of experience in finance, banking, portfolio management or consulting.
• Experience in a major financial institution or investment‑banking firm is desirable.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
