Buyer – Center of Excellence (Supply Chain)

About the role

Eaton's SCM Center of Excellence in Santo Domingo is looking for a Buyer to support manufacturing plants and other locations across the Americas. The role focuses on operational procurement, ensuring material availability and supplier stability.

Key responsibilities

• Procure direct materials in line with plant and corporate regulations, generating purchase orders based on demand.
• Coordinate with network schedulers, logistics partners, and suppliers to manage delivery schedules, handle exceptions, and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor supplier performance (SOTD), implement corrective actions, and manage invoice holds for timely payments.
• Maintain inventory levels, support RMA processes, and keep purchasing data up‑to‑date in collaboration with data and commodity teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in purchasing or related procurement roles.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Strong analytical mindset, proactive attitude, and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Advanced SAP MM knowledge.
• Experience with Mapics, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.
