Bartender - Renaissance Hotel Santo Domingo

About the role

Renaissance Hotels is hiring a full-time, on-site Bartender for its hotel in Santo Domingo. The Bartender prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to recipes and brand standards, handles cash and point-of-sale transactions accurately, and delivers friendly, attentive service while keeping the bar clean and organised.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, take orders, give recommendations and provide attentive, friendly service
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following recipes and brand standards
• Ensure accurate cash handling and point-of-sale transactions
• Restock and rotate inventory and follow food and beverage safety regulations
• Collaborate with the service team to support smooth bar and lounge operations
• Engage guests, share local insights and help create memorable experiences

Required profile

• Strong customer service skills and excellent communication, including clear verbal interaction and active listening
• Knowledge of food and beverage operations, drink preparation, presentation and safety standards
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices and local regulations
• Prior hospitality or hotel experience preferred
• Basic math skills, attention to detail, ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights
