Assistant Executive Pastry Chef

About the role

The Assistant Executive Pastry Chef supports the Executive Pastry Chef in daily pastry and bakery operations at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic, ensuring high standards of quality, presentation, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Support supervision of daily pastry, dessert, and bakery production.
• Ensure quality, presentation, flavor, and consistency of all preparations.
• Supervise, train, and support the pastry team during operations.
• Assist in developing new products, desserts, and culinary concepts for restaurants, banquets, and special events.
• Maintain compliance with hygiene, food safety, and food handling standards.
• Support inventory management, cost control, waste reduction, and efficient ingredient use.
• Coordinate with culinary and Food & Beverage teams for smooth operations.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Assistant Pastry Chef, Pastry Sous Chef, or similar role.
• Experience in luxury hospitality, resorts, or high‑end restaurants.
• Experience supervising and developing culinary teams.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency preferred.
