Assistant Executive Pastry Chef

About the role

The Assistant Executive Pastry Chef supports the Executive Pastry Chef in daily pastry and bakery operations at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic, ensuring top‑quality desserts and baked goods for guests and events.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in supervising daily pastry, dessert, and bakery production.
• Maintain quality, presentation, flavor, and consistency of all preparations.
• Train and support the pastry team during service.
• Help develop new desserts and culinary concepts for restaurants, banquets, and special events.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and handling standards.
• Support inventory management, cost control, and waste reduction.
• Coordinate with culinary and F&B teams for smooth operations.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Assistant Pastry Chef, Pastry Sous Chef, or similar role.
• Experience in luxury hospitality, resorts, or high‑end restaurants.
• Strong knowledge of pastry, desserts, and bakery production.
• Experience supervising and developing culinary teams.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and high presentation standards.
