Assistant Director of Engineering

About the role

The Assistant Director of Engineering will lead the engineering team at Four Seasons Resort & Residences Dominican Republic, ensuring the property’s facilities operate flawlessly and deliver the luxury experience guests expect.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the engineering department, overseeing maintenance, repairs, and facility improvements.
• Manage, train and motivate engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Coordinate capital projects, renovations and new construction to enhance resort amenities.
• Ensure compliance with local and international safety, environmental and building regulations through regular inspections.
• Develop and implement energy‑efficiency, waste‑reduction and sustainability initiatives.
• Monitor departmental budgets, controlling costs while maintaining service quality.
• Respond to guest concerns related to engineering issues, collaborating with other departments for timely resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering or facilities management, preferably within hospitality.
• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of safety, environmental and building codes.
